Arezzo: The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion
Council (GJEPC) is set to reinforce India’s international trade presence
through its participation in Oroarezzo 2026, one of Europe’s important B2B
fairs for jewellery manufacturing and goldsmithing. Scheduled to take place
from 9 to 12 May 2026 in Arezzo, Italy, the exhibition is expected to bring
together global players across jewellery production, technology, components,
sourcing and design.
For India, GJEPC’s participation carries strategic
significance. At a time when global markets are increasingly exploring
diversified sourcing networks and stronger manufacturing partnerships, the
council’s presence at Oroarezzo positions Indian exporters within a specialised
European trade ecosystem. The move reflects a broader effort to showcase India
not only as a major jewellery producer, but also as a competitive and scalable
partner in the global supply chain.
Oroarezzo has long been recognised for its strong focus on
the manufacturing side of the jewellery business. Unlike broader retail-led
exhibitions, the fair is closely aligned with industrial production,
private-label development, semi-finished products, machinery, technology and
international sourcing. This makes it particularly relevant for Indian
companies looking to build deeper business ties with buyers, distributors and
trade stakeholders across Europe and beyond.
GJEPC’s participation also highlights the growing importance
of India in the evolving global jewellery landscape. As one of the world’s key
gem and jewellery exporting nations, India continues to expand its influence
through design capability, large-scale manufacturing, skilled craftsmanship and
export-driven production. By entering platforms such as Oroarezzo, GJEPC is
helping Indian manufacturers and exporters access more targeted international
opportunities and strengthen India’s visibility in markets that value both
quality production and commercial reliability.
The fair is also expected to host discussions around
changing trade patterns, emerging international markets and the future
direction of global jewellery demand. In that context, GJEPC’s presence becomes
more than symbolic. It serves as a business-facing initiative aimed at opening
new conversations around exports, collaborations and market access.
For the Indian industry, participation at Oroarezzo 2026 is
an opportunity to underline the country’s strengths across the jewellery value
chain — from manufacturing depth and product versatility to its ability to
serve a wide spectrum of global demand. It also supports GJEPC’s wider role in
promoting Indian gem and jewellery exports through meaningful international
engagement.
