Dubai: In a significant move to celebrate and nurture
the UAE’s creative spirit, Samra Jewellery has launched the “House of Samra:
Emirati Talent Showcase,” an initiative designed to support and promote local
jewellery designers. The program, in collaboration with the Mohammed Bin Rashid
Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises (Dubai SME), aims to provide a
platform for Emirati talent to shine within the competitive global jewellery
market.
The initiative is a curated showcase that
opens Samra’s boutique vitrines to a select group of Emirati jewellery
designers. By offering them prime retail space in their flagship locations
across Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Hills Mall, and Dubai Festival
City Mall, Samra is providing these designers with unprecedented exposure. This
move marks a major commitment from Samra to invest in the future of the
jewellery industry and highlight the talent that thrives within the UAE.
As part of its ongoing efforts to support
local talent, Samra’s program encourages designers to explore new, unique forms
of creativity, connecting traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics. The
curated collection will feature innovative pieces that capture the essence of
Emirati culture and heritage, blended with cutting-edge design, making them
highly relevant for the global jewellery market.
Katia Samra, Creative Director of House of
Samra, expressed her excitement for the initiative, stating, “Supporting local
talent is not just a gesture; it is a responsibility. Through this initiative,
Samra is proud to open its doors to Emirati jewellery designers and celebrate
their creativity.”
The partnership with Dubai SME emphasizes
Samra’s dedication to empowering the next generation of jewellery designers in
the region. It also reflects the growing importance of fostering creativity
within the UAE, a country known for its progressive approach to business and
culture.
Through the Emirati Talent Showcase, Samra
aims to redefine the jewellery retail experience by not only offering exclusive
designs but also giving emerging local designers the tools and recognition they
need to succeed.
